The Healthy Environment and Community Partnership began when a team at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health won an award from the EPA's Toxic Release Inventory University Challenge to create the Multi-layer Data Community Action Tool (MDCAT.) Since then, HECAP has been developing tools and projects with partners that focus on the intersection between local communities, the environment, and health.
